VISION
Open
up spatial data for the LLDA itself and the outside world to create better
understanding and policy making regarding the Laguna de Bay and its watershed
MISSION
Provide
a central desk to overview the available spatial data and be a knowledge point
for analysis, support, and keeping up-to-date with the latest developments
The
LLDA GeoDesk

the
central overview of metadata regarding available spatial data (the
physical data itself needs to be managed within the division); |
 |
the
implementation of one coordinate and projection system to be used by all
divisions; |
 |
the
centralization of procuring software and spatial data from third parties; |
 |
the
adaptation of new technologies and development in the handling of spatial
data and the identification of LLDA research needs; |
 |
the
establishment of a one-stop desk for people who are interested in
obtaining data from the LLDA; |
 |
(training)
support to other division in the analysis and presentation of spatial data
with GIS software. |
This
is in order to:

 |
assure
the quality and positional accuracy of data and use one uniform,
standardized data structure; |
|
 |
make
GIS work most efficient (avoiding duplication of data and work)
|
|
 |
enhance
the credibility of LLDA through the set-up of an advanced GIS database;
|
|
 |
promote
the use of GIS and its analyzing capabilities within LLDA;
|
|
 |
be
able to give best advice on how and with what kind of spatial data,
problems can be analyzed;
|
|
 |
identify
training needs.
