The Laguna Lake Development Authority showcased its programs at the recently-held "Mga Pampamahalaang Program at Serbisyo" in connection with the celebration of the 118th Anniversary of Philippine Independence with the theme "Kalayaan 2016: Pagkakaisa, Pag-aambagan, Pagsulong."

The exhibit was held on June 11 and 12, 2016 at the Burnham Green in Quirino Grandstand, Pasay City and participated by different government agencies, bureaus and attached agencies.

LLDA programs such as the Integrated Watershed Management Program, Knifefish Containment – Cash for Work Program, Ecotourism projects, and the LLDA Green Building were highlighted during the exhibit. This is to show what the government has done and has been doing in the past years and to recognize the efforts of government offices in delivering services to the Filipino people.

On June 12, President Benigno Aquino III led the Independence Day celebration also held at the Burnham Green. He also led the traditional laying of wreath on the Rizal monument as part of the commemoration of this event. This celebration was attended by employees of government agencies including contingents from this Authority.
