Oath-Taking of the Newest Officers of the San Pedro River Basin Council

Joined by San Pedro City Mayor Lourdes Cataquiz, LLDA GM Joey Medina proudly led the oath-taking of the newest officers of the San Pedro River Basin Council at the New City Hall, San Pedro City. The San Pedro River Basin Council is composed of multi-sectoral groups within San Pedro Microwatershed who oversee the rehabilitation, protection and sustainable management of the river tributaries in San Pedro and the Laguna Lake.

Its current members includes:

Prior to the oath-taking ceremony, a public consultation was held, led by LLDA Department Heads and Division Heads namely Engr. Emiterio Hernandez from the Environmental Regulatory Department; Reena Buena, Division Chief III of the Community Development Division; Engr. Alloysius Capisonda, OIC Surveillance and Monitoring Division; and Engr. Gil Orgil, OIC Clearances and Permits Division. Discussed during the public consultation were LLDA’s Board Resolution 518, anti-illegal fishing and fish pen fees, LLDA clearances and permits, and the new DENR Administrative Order No. 2016-08 regarding Water Quality Guidelines and General Effluent Standards of 2016, among others.
