Sta. Rosa City's 13th Anniversary

Last July 28, LLDA GM Jaime Medina joined the City of Santa Rosa in celebrating its 13th anniversary as a city. The event also coincided with the city’s 6th anniversary of the proclamation of Environment Day, recognized officially every July 10.

GM Medina also joined Mayor Danilo Ramon S. Fernandez and Congresswoman Arlene B. Arcillas, the first District Representative of Laguna, for the Santa Rosa Environment Day Green Awards (Growing Responsibility Towards Ecological Enhancement for Nature) at the city auditorium, recognizing individuals and organizations who further the cause of environmental protection.

“Sta. Rosa City is a trailblazer both in economic development and environmental protection. All of us are witnesses to the rapid development of Sta. Rosa from an agricultural municipality to a first class city. With such rapid growth, I commend Sta. Rosa City for putting a premium on environmental protection and sustainable development,” shared GM Medina during his speech.

“We at LLDA consider Sta. Rosa as a living laboratory for Environmental Management and Governance, and we see in them a very strong partner in meeting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.”
