The Laguna Lake Development Authority was established in 1966 as a quasi-government agency that leads, promotes, and accelerates sustainable development in the Laguna de Bay Region. Regulatory and law-enforcement functions are carried out with provisions on environmental management, particularly on water quality monitoring, conservation of natural resources, and community-based natural resource management.

The Angono Integrated Solid Waste Management Sub-project is designed to minimize the social and environmental problems caused by the increasing solid waste generation from the community. Estimated at nine metric tons per day in 2005, the volume is increasing rapidly along with the population. The sub-project aims to recover reusable and recyclable materials from collected municipal solid waste.

 

 

 

This includes:

 

1. Waste collection and segregation system

2. Compost - organic fertilizer plant

3. Plastic recycling center

4. Hollow block production plant
