LLDA MANDATE

The Laguna Lake Development Authority was established in 1966 as a quasi-government agency that leads, promotes, and accelerates sustainable development in the Laguna de Bay Region. Regulatory and law-enforcement functions are carried out with provisions on environmental management, particularly on water quality monitoring, conservation of natural resources, and community-based natural resource management.

The flood control structure shall be built on the last half kilometer segment of the river.  An embankment with an estimated average elevation of 2.5 meters from the riverbed shall be constructed.  Gabions shall be used as the embankment material on the riverside and lakeside while vetiver grass shall be employed to stabilize the filled earth on the landside.

 

Boat mooring areas shall be provided along the river and lake.  These shall have gaps to allow fishermen to gain access to the adjoining barangay road.
