LLDA MANDATE

The Laguna Lake Development Authority was established in 1966 as a quasi-government agency that leads, promotes, and accelerates sustainable development in the Laguna de Bay Region. Regulatory and law-enforcement functions are carried out with provisions on environmental management, particularly on water quality monitoring, conservation of natural resources, and community-based natural resource management.

The over-all objective of the sub-project is to sustainably manage the natural resources in Cavinti.

 

It aims specifically to:

  1. Provide alternative recreation

  2. Provide opportunities for livelihood and;

  3. Serve as venue for environmental education and scientific research.

Several components comprise this eco-tourism project:

  • Watershed Eco-management

  • Nakulo Falls and Picnic Ground Development

  • Tibatib Nature Trails and View Deck Development

  • Magdapio (Pagsanjan) Falls Raft Rides

  • Cavinti Rapids and Bayakan Falls Access Development
