The Laguna
Lake Development Authority was established in 1966 as a
quasi-government agency that leads, promotes, and
accelerates sustainable development in the Laguna de Bay
Region. Regulatory and law-enforcement functions are carried
out with provisions on environmental management,
particularly on water quality monitoring, conservation of
natural resources, and community-based natural resource
management.

With two components comprising Material
Recovery Facility and Eco-tourism, these
will initiate a systematic implementation of
solid waste management through greater
public participation and support.
With the enhancement of this eco-heritage
site in line with the religious festival of
this municipality, this will develop a more
viable tourist areas and will also improve
the capacity and capability of the local
government and stakeholders to manage the
natural resources in a sustainable manner.
