LLDA MANDATE

The Laguna Lake Development Authority was established in 1966 as a quasi-government agency that leads, promotes, and accelerates sustainable development in the Laguna de Bay Region. Regulatory and law-enforcement functions are carried out with provisions on environmental management, particularly on water quality monitoring, conservation of natural resources, and community-based natural resource management.

PANGIL ENVIRONMENTAL ENHANCEMENT

With two components comprising Material Recovery Facility and Eco-Park, these will initiate a systematic implementation of solid waste management through greater public participation and support.

 

With the enhancement of the Piit and Ambon-Ambon Falls, this will develop a more viable tourist areas and will also improve the capacity and capability of the local government and stakeholders to manage the natural resources in a sustainable manner. This component includes the provision of facilities in support to the new activities that will be introduced such as guided walk/hike and rubber tubing leading to the falls, outdoor camping and picnic for students and parents. To appreciate more the natural beauty of the area, a viewdeck as well as river access ramps is also constructed. Signages and interpretation panels are installed in identified strategic areas.
