FUNDS FOR FISHERFOLK TO BE HIKED

Expressing concern over the city’s fisherfolk sector, members of the Muntinlupa City Council filed an ordinance increasing the funds allocated to the local Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Council (FARMC).

Based on the ordinance the funds shall be allocated to the FARMC in the amount of 25 percent of the 35 percent annual share of the local government unit remittance by the Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA) for the utilization of the lake for commercial fish culture operations.
